Cold callers target elderly residents; BREAKING HEALTH newsbulletin.
ABMU health board say they have been made aware of companies calling people across Bridgend, Neath, Port Talbot and Swansea, and asking for an appointment at their homes to showcase products such as chairs, beds, zimmer frames and wheelchairs.
Some have felt pressured into buying items, costing them several hundreds of pounds.
Nichole Powel, Deputy Head of Physiotherapy, said: "We want to make people aware that these calls are not being made by any department within the health board, nor have we have asked companies to contact them."
