Cold, dry weather to prevail in country.

ISLAMABAD -- Meteorological department Saturday predicted mainly cold and dry weather in most parts of the country and light rain with snowfall in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan during next 24 hours.

According to the daily weather report, morning fog will prevail over some plain areas of Punjab. As per synoptic situation, continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country.

Whereas a shallow trough of westerly wave is prevailing over Kashmir

and Gilgit-Baltistan and likely to move eastward during next 24 hours.

Saturday morning's lowest minimum temperatures are including, in Kalat, -12 oC, Parachinar, -10 oC, Quetta, -09 oC, Gupis, -07 oC, Malamjabba, Hunza and Dalbandin -06 oC.

Rainfall recorded during last 24 hours including Sialkot City, 20.5 mm, Lahore A/P, 10.5, Skardu, 0.2, Lahore PBO,10, Gujranwala,8, Kotli,2, Chilas,1, Bunji,0.2 mm, Gilgit,Trace, Hunza,Trace, Jhelum,Trace, Snowfall: Skardu 05 inch and Astore 01 inch.
