Code of conduct for judges enforced in AJK.

MUZAFFARABAD -- The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Supreme Judicial Council has approved to include two more clauses

in the existing code of conduct for judges in the region to make it at par with one enforced in Pakistan.

Supreme Judicial Council met here under the chairmanship of Chief Justice Supreme Court Justice Ibrahim Zea and was attended by senior judge Supreme Court Justice Raja Saeed Akram and Chief Justice AJK high court justice M Tabbasam Aftab Alvi besides other officials.

The meeting discussed the existing code of conduct for judges and approved to include

article 10 and 11 from the code of conduct for judges in Pakistan in the existing code to make it at par with the second one.

According to code of conduct, the judges of the high and Supreme Court are bound to discharge their duties strictly in accordance with constitution and law without any delay and to discharge the

duties only prescribed for them in the Constitution avoiding any additional exercise not prescribed in constitution for them.
