Code of Practice.

ON-FARM processors can now obtain a useful Code of Practice from the NFU on the high temperature short time (HTST) pasteurisation of milk.

The new code is intended to help those responsible for on-farm pasteurising of milk or dairy products by the HTST method to apply best practice and improve procedures.

It is hoped that following the code will assist operators in ensuring that their products have been correctly pasteurised and that the risk of post-pasteurisation contamination has been avoided.

To obtain a copy of the Code of Practice, please contact NFU HQ on 020 7331 7352.
