Coalition to promote global warming goals.

Repower Arkansas has been formed to rally the Legislature to adopt the recommendations of Gov. Mike Beebe's Global Warming Commission.

By enacting these policy options, many new green-collar jobs can be created, the statewide coalition of organizations and individuals said in a news release.

Coalition members plan to travel to communities around the state during the next three months to discuss the climate crisis and share the opportunity of green-collar jobs for economic development.

The first event will be Nov. 18 at the University of Arkansas at Monticello, from 7-10 p.m. Further information can be obtained at www.
