Cmdr. Jennifer Flather, SC, USN, completed 25 years of active service and retired Oct. 1, 2011 after serving at Commander, Navy Instillations Command, Washington, D.C. She received her bachelor's degree at Russell Sage College, Troy, N.Y., and her master's degree at George Washington University, Washington, D.C. Her previous duty stations include Headquarters, Naval District Washington, Washington, D.C.; Base Realignment and Closure, Arlington, Va.; Chief of Naval Operations, Arlington, Va.; Naval Support Activity, Washington, D.C.; Commander, U. S. Naval Forces Korea, Seoul Korea; USS Holland (AS 32); Personnel Support Activity Detachment, Bayonne, N.J. and Naval Base Guam.
