Clubs: Crash through to a top night; Sounds for all at Classics.

Byline: Emma Johnson

GLOWSTICKS at the ready for bank holiday Sunday, because one of the biggest brands in super clubbing is about to descend on Liverpool for a little trip back in time.

Yes, Gatecrasher-breeding ground of the cyber-clubber, the fluffy boot and pink hair - is Ibringing its Gatecrasher Classics tour to Jaxx for one night only. But don't panic if dancing at the speed of light under a green laser cloud is not your thing.

The night, put together by local promoters Lee Omar and Stuart Glen,

promises to offer a bit of something for everybody across two floors at the Hardman Street club.

First up and providing the Gatecrasher sound will be two of the club's favourite jocks, Lange and JFK.

With over 14 years in the business, the man who launched Passion into orbit and former Mixmag D J of the year, JFK needs no introduction, while Lange was the guy behind such smashes as I Believe and the Balearic anthem Follow Me.

Joining the pair upstairs will be Liverpool legend John Kelly and rising star Chris

Pollock.

"I think people sometimes forget that Gatecrasher was not only about the trance - it is also about dance and house classics," says Lee Omar, referring to the evening's line-up.

"JFK has been around Gatecrasher for many years and Lange has the big productions behind him, while we chose John Kelly because he is a local guy and his record collection has the depth of history, so he will

reflect that."

Like Lee says, the night won't be just about trance and banging beats per minute. Although Gatecrasher will be ruling the roost upstairs, downstairs Fashionista takes over the basement with Pukka Up's Tim Fanucci joined by Juice FM's Huey, Carl Ralph and Dave Pethard providing sexy house and electro.

Meanwhile St Helens' boys Jay Balmer and Ben Jones from Fragile come in from the suburbs to provide dirty house in the bar along with the Dirty Hustlers. "We wanted to create a night which is relevant to what is happening in Liverpool," explains Lee.

"So we got Huey in because he is one of our favourite DJs and knows the crowd so well and we have also got the Dirty Hustlers who play for Goodgreef and Fragile hosting a room.

"Gatecrasher will be upstairs while these guys will provide the upfront house and it will be diverse enough for, everyone. I "Hopefully it will appeal to both the older people who went to Gatecrasher and the younger people who didn't get there first time around."

Gatecrasher Classics at Jaxx on Hardman Street on Bank Holiday Sunday May 6. Doors open 9pm-5am. Admission costs pounds 15.
