Closure of service road from Al Luqta Street to Beday Street.

Tribune News Network Doha The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) will close one direction of the service road leading from Al Luqta Street to Al Beday Street for a distance of 500 metres to facilitate construction and utility works in the area, the authority has announced. The proposed closure, designed in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, will commence on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 and last for one-and-a-half years. During the period, road users travelling east from Al Luqta Street and wishing to enter Al Beday Street will be required to continue straight on Al Luqta Street and turn right on to Uhud Street, take a right on to Al Muhajereen Street and then turn left to Badr Street to exit towards Al Beday Street. Ashghal will also construct a U-turn at the point of closure on the service road to allow residents and users of the local roads to reach Uhud Street and follow the diverted route to exit to Al Beday Street. The Public Works Authority will instal road signs to guide motorists about the closure. Ashghal has requested all road users to abide by the speed limit and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
