This report overviews the current science and policy of climate change, gives advice to tourism stakeholders on adapting to climate change in the tourism industry, and identifies examples of good practice in mitigation of climate change. While part of the report summarizes what is known, another part is devoted to what is not known about the connections between climate change and tourism, through an analysis of the various regions included in IPCC assessment reports and other key documents such as the Stern Review (2006). Color photos, maps, and a glossary are included. The target audience for the book includes professionals from tourism ministries, environment ministries, national tourism organizations, meteorological and climate organizations, and NGOs. The report is particularly relevant to those in developing countries and small island states. There is no subject index.
