ClickNet unveils new intrusion prevention system.
TELECOMWORLDWIRE-(C) 1994-9 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
ClickNet Software has launched what it claims to be the industry's first host-based intrusion prevention technology for the protection of e-commerce, Internet and information systems. entercept uses a special software architecture, enabling it to proactively protect the host by evaluating requests to the operating system and application programme interface before they are processed, unlike most security systems which only detect unauthorised access after intrusion occurs. Features include a default security policy and preconfigured responses to intrusion attacks. entercept will be available in late November and includes a Windows NT server-based management console, priced from GBP2,995, and client agents - the NT server agent priced from GBP649 and NT workstation agent from GBP64.
