Cleaning solution shows up in Molson bottles.

A component on a bottling line at Molson Breweries' Montreal brewery malfunctioned during June and July, causing some bottles to be filled with an alkaline cleaning solution. Molson has inspected more than 91 percent of the 80 million beer bottles filled during that period, and has found ten bottles containing the solution.

Molson said the solution causes no permanent health risks, and reported that the malfunction has been located and the problem corrected. All 80 million bottles were for distribution in the province of Quebec, and Molson said it will continue its inspection until all the bottles have been examined.
