Clean-up in real nappy stakes.
Between March 29 and April 2,parents in St Helens can sign up for a four-week free door- to door laundry service.
The plan is supported by Merseyside Health Action Zone and funded by the St Helens Health Partnership.
It was organised by the Woman's Environmental Network who hope to persuade parents to make the permanent switch to real nap pies because the plastic in disposable nappies takes up to 500 years to break down.
The service provided by Tops for Bottoms supplies an unlimited number of nap pies and accessories and collects soiled nappies for laundering for just pounds 3.50 a week, after the free four weeks, Contact 01744 456442 or 0151-343 1356.
