Clean up in photo contest.

PHOTOGRAPHERS are being encouraged to get to Bute Park this Sunday - ahead of the deadline for The Keep Wales Tidy (KWT) photo competition.

Top pictures could feature in a KWT calendar 2014 if submitted before the July 31 deadline.

And Sunday is the perfect opportunity to snap away with Cardiff Rivers Group helping Friends of Bute Park remove the invasive Himalayan Balsam.

Volunteers will also be removing litter and waste from the banks of the Taff between 11am and 1pm after meeting at the Secret Garden Cafe Area.

Anyone interested in coming should look for a purple truck and can submit snapshots by going to www.keepwalestidy.org/photocompetition2013
