YORKSHIRE won on all rinks in the Alsop Cup match against Lancashire at Redcar Borough Park.
Mick Pluves (Borough Park), playing with clubmate Dave Lyth, Don Richards (Nunthorpe) and Norman Smith (KGV), skipped his rink to a 33-7 win over K Hays.
Bill Peirson (Middlesbrough), Sean Daly (Shipton), Brian Bell (Borough Park) and Danny May (York RI) had a 23-11 win over B Whalley, while Terry Richardson, Eric Whorlton, Malcolm McNulty (Hutton Rudby) and Eric Whitwell (Brotton) won by nine shots against V Mellor.
The Brotton rink of Darren Ward, John Tyreman, Alan Crossman and Karl Tyreman scored two shots on the last end to ensure a clean sweep for Yorkshire.
Mal Britton (York RI), Eric Whitwell (Brotton) and Mick Jewell (Borough Park) were presented with their county blazer badges before the game.
In the Middleton Cup against Cumbria, Yorkshire needed a win to qualify for the quarter-finals, but despite winning on four of the six rinks, one rink lost heavily as they went down 127-121.
Steve Verrill (Brotton) is the 2014 North Yorkshire Bowls league Champion of Champions after beating John Dickinson (Cochranes) 14-7 in the final at Jack Hatfield Bowls Club.
The losing semi-finalists were Mark Fleming (Great Ayton) and Mick Cummings (Saltburn).
