Clean, green road network provides friendly environment to commuters.
ISLAMABAD -- Federal Secretary for Communications and Postal Services Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui Tuesday said clean and green motorways and national highways provide friendly environment to the travelers.
He was talking on an occasion of planting tree in the Service Area at Karachi-Hyderabad Motorway (M-9). National Highway Authority's Member (South-Zone) Sindh, Shabbir Ali Shah, Deputy Inspector General Motorway Police (South Zone) Saleem Ahmad Khan and other senior officers were also present.
He said "Clean and Green Pakistan drive, initiated by the government is a noble cause and we are to move forward hand in hand to make it a success."
Emphasizing upon the afforestation drive Siddiqui recalled lasting relationship between human beings and trees.
He said lush green Pakistan will not only provide pleasant environment to the people but trees also guard against calamities occurring due to climate change. However, he said planting more and more trees was a national requirement.
Ministry of Communications and its attached departments are making practical advancement to realize the vision of clean and green Pakistan, given by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
