Claude: MSing Around.

Claude: MSing Around by John Mythen The cartoons of Claude -- "the first case of canine MS on record" -- are wonderful and cannot help but raise spirits. The text carries a message of hope and positive coping, without ignoring the problems of life with MS. There are welcome additions by well-known physicians. However, the book could have used some careful editing: there are mis-spellings, the terms "MSer" and "victim" are used and there is too much emphasis on diet and allergy and their possible connection to MS. Also, the book focuses on more advanced disability and may not be suitable for the newly diagnosed. Nonetheless, it is light, enjoyable and informative. Available for $10.95 plus $3.00 shipping from the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, 205 6125 Sussex Ave., Burnaby, BC, Canada V5H 4GI. Visa and MasterCard accepted by phone 604-437-3244.
