The Sons of Norway Sonja Lodge #2-038's 2018 Lutefisk & Meatball Dinner will feature lutefisk, Norwegian meatballs, lefse, coleslaw, Norwegian cookies and more. $24 and $12 for ages 6-12. Advanced registration

April 9-June 4

Community of Christ Church - 1485 Gilham Road. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays. Lane County OSU Extension Service is accepting applications through March 30 for its eight-week 2018 Master Food Preserver hands-on training course that trains volunteers who in turn share food preservation and food safety knowledge with the community. Volunteers selected into the program participate in a 40-hour food preservation/safety training after which they become a certified Master Food Preserver Volunteer; volunteers will be expected to volunteer a minimum of 70 hours in the year following the training. $175, includes training supplies and a resource notebook. People interested in just taking the classes and not volunteering are asked to pay full tuition of $375. http://extension.oregonstate.edu/lane/announcements/food
