Clas Ohlson's sales up by 4% in January 2017.

NORDIC BUSINESS REPORT-February 16, 2017-Clas Ohlson's sales up by 4% in January 2017


Retail store operator Clas Ohlson AB (STO:CLASB) reported on Wednesday that sales in January 2017 increased by 4% to SEK578m, as compared with SEK558m in January 2016. In local currencies, sales were unchanged as compared with the prior year.

For the third quarter of fiscal 2017, sales were SEK 2,695m, up by 9% as compared with SEK2,482m in Q3 of the prior year. Total sales during the first nine months of the fiscal year (May 2016 to January 2017) were up by 5% to SEK6,415m, as compared with SEK6,098m in the corresponding nine months of the prior year. In local currencies, sales increased by 4%.

Also, as compared with January 2016, the net store portfolio was expanded by eight stores. At the end of the period, the total number of stores was 213.

Clas Ohlson offers products in the five product areas of Hardware, Electrical, Home, Multimedia and Leisure.
