Clas Ohlson's profit up by 9% in Q3 2015/16.

NORDIC BUSINESS REPORT-March 16, 2016-Clas Ohlson's profit up by 9% in Q3 2015/16


Clas Ohlson AB (STO:CLASB.ST) on Wednesday reported that its profit after tax was SEK294m, or EPS of SEK4.66, for the third quarter of 2015/16.

This was a 9% increase over profit after tax of SEK270m, or a 9% increase over EPS of SEK4.27, in Q34 of the prior year.

Sales for the quarter increased by 4% to SEK2,482m, as compared with SEK2,375m in Q3 of the prior year. Sales for the quarter increased by 7% in local currencies.

Also, the store portfolio was expanded by three new stores (net) during the quarter.

The company added that its financial year 2015/16 comprises the period from 1 May 2015 to 30 April 2016.

Clas Ohlson offers a wide range of affordable products in the product areas of hardware, electrical, home, multimedia and leisure.
