Clare McKeon's column: Paint drying..Oh what excitement.
THERE are many things that I would love to see invented, many things that would make our lives easier.
But when a company brings out something that is truly useless you have to wonder why it has bothered.
A paint company has brought out a paint that goes on purple and dries to a white.
The theory is that watching paint dry is now something interesting to do, and you can even do it with a member of the opposite sex.
So help is now on hand for bored couples who have run out of conversation.
I can just imagine the small talk: "Oh look, Mary, there's a little bit in the corner that is still wet".
"Hmmm," comes the reply, "That's a long time drying, Seamus, longer than usual"
Riveting stuff, almost as exciting as watching paint dry.
