Civic team show their support for Armed Forces Day.

IT is a day to honour our local heroes and Kirklees' Civic duo were on hand to mark the occasion.

Kirklees mayor Clr Ken Smith and deputy mayor Clr Paul Kane honoured servicemen and women on Armed Forces Day.

Clr Smith led the Huddersfield event while Clr Kane led the Dewsbury event, he said: "We raised the flags at the town halls and had services to mark the special day."

Armed Forces Day offers the chance for people to show their support to servicemen and women nationwide who dedicate their lives to serving our country.
