City rescue point but record bid ends.

Byline: DAVE JONES

WELSH PREMIER Airbus 1 Bangor City 1 ALTHOUGH Bangor City's record-breaking 15-match winning run came to an end at The Airfield last night Nev Powell's side stretched their lead at the Welsh Premier summit to 13 points thanks to Alan Bull's 92nd minute equaliser.

Craig Harrison's Wingmakers took a 52nd minute lead when a long clearance from defence by Mark Allen was misheaded by Michael Johnston into the path of Andy Moran who slotted past keeper Danial Jones, in for the suspended regular custodian Paul Smith.

After that City dominated but looked set to lose for the first time in 25 league matches before Les Davies headed Sion Edwards' cross from the left onto the bar and Bull put away the rebound.

In the first half rookie keeper Jones proved his worth when he tipped over an 18th minute shot from Paul McManus.

Airbus glovesman Kristian Rogers was lucky to get away with clearly handling outside his area before City's Craig Garside clattered the bar with an overhead kick.

Bangor's Davies had a goal disallowed for an alleged foul on Rogers who then denied Bull from 12 yards.
