City of Colorado Springs Turns to Centric Software for Regional Transportation Project and Process Management Intelligence.
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Centric Software, the leading provider of Capital Program Intelligence[TM] solutions, announced today that the City of Colorado Springs/Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority (PPRTA) is using Centric's Project[TM] Suite for the management of a $300 million, ten-year engineering capital improvement program. The PPRTA, charged with improving the transportation and transit infrastructure in the region encompassing El Paso County and the cities of Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs and the town of Green Mountain Falls Colorado, was created by a public vote in November 2004.
"The magnitude of this collaborative engineering program and our public accountability dictate that we do our very best to ensure quality, timely and cost effective projects," said City Engineering Roadway Engineering Manager Robin Kidder.
"The Centric Project suite will enable the PPRTA to maximize the quality and timely, cost-effective delivery of projects, achieving their goal of improved transportation for the people of Colorado Springs and the surrounding communities," said Chris Groves, chief executive officer at Centric Software. "We provide owners with Capital Program Intelligence through a single, integrated system that combines real-time information for all constituencies with visibility into the entire program. Capital Program Intelligence gives all project owners insight into the overall progress of their projects against the plan and financial metrics, for better project decisions and execution."
Secure, Web-based Project Management Software
In a secure, web-based environment, the Centric Project suite provides a comprehensive project management and control system for collaboration among team members, including staff, consultants and subcontractors. This project management software optimizes overall project control, with cost control and financial tracking, electronic documents and records management, contract and payment management, and issues management, resulting in time and cost savings. Secure access for team members to critical project information such as tracking for action items, deadlines, individual tasks and deliverables will improve project efficiency and accountability.
Prior to implementing the Centric Project suite, the City of Colorado Springs/PPRTA relied on numerous systems including spreadsheets for tracking project financial information, project scheduling software, email for correspondence and hard copy and individual electronic files for document and record management.
