City car impresses.

HYUNDAI'S new i10 has been named overall Car of the Year and Best City Car in the 2014 CarBuyer awards.

Judges praised the quality, refinement, style and value of the city runabout, which costs from PS8,345.

And Hyundai's Santa Fe beat more established brands like Land Rover to be named Best Large SUV.

There was further success for Korean car makers, with Kia winning the Buyer's Award for its seven-year warranty.

BMW claimed three wins, including Best Electric/Hybrid Car for its new i3 supermini, while the 3 Series and 5 Series also won in the two executive car categories.
