City Exchange TJSV clinch second QIA Champions League title.

City Exchange TJSV Tea Time FC players and officials celebrate their win in the City Exchange Ria-IME QIA Champions League.

After more than a month of intense footballing action, the City Exchange Ria-IME QIA Champions League 2018 came to an extravagant conclusion on Friday at Al Arabi Stadium with City Exchange TJSV Tea Time FC lifting the trophy for the second time in the history of the competition.

City Exchange TJSV Tea Time FC beat Team MBM 3-0 with Bijesh Balan and Nasar Aloor scoring in the first half before Mousoof Naizan netting the third one in the final minutes of the game.

The winners were presented with the trophy in the presence of City Exchange CEO Sharaf P Hameed and Ria-IME Country Manager Jitendra Pandey. They also pocketed the winners' cheque of QR20,000, which was presented by Naveed Abdulla of One FM Qatar 89.6, the official radio partners.

Naizan finished as the top scorer of the tournament with seven goals, while Balan was adjudged Man of the Match for the final. Jithu of YAAS Qatar was adjudged as the Best Goalkeeper of the tournament.

The thousands of spectators, who filled the stands were also treated to entertainment by noted Indian singers and musicians, including Naresh Iyer, Sharanya Srinivas, Yumna Ajin, Siddharth Nagarajan and Navneeth Sunder, in an hour-long musical show that preceded the final.

The tournament's closing ceremony was graced by a number of dignitaries, including Baladna CEO Moataz al-Khayat, Ministry of Interior's PR Officer Lt. Mubarak Shareeda al-Mutlaq, Qatar Police Sports Federation Security and Discipline Officer Lt. Rashid Mahmoud al-Abdullah, Ministry of Interior's Community Outreach Officer Faisal al-Hudawi, Qatar Football Association (QFA) Public Relations Officer Ahmed al-Sai, QFA's head of Media Ali al-Salat, and Anish Gangadharan from Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy.

During the closing ceremony, QFA officials brought the HH The Amir Cup Trophy to showcase it to the spectators. QIA president EP Abdulrahman thanked QFA for their support of the community and invited the audience to the final of Qatar's most prestigious tournament, which will be held at the Khalifa International Stadium on May 19 in the presence of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani. Fans may contact QIA officials for tickets to the big match.

As the curtain fell on the sixth edition of the QIA Champions League, tournament organisers expressed gratitude to the sponsors and the fans, and went on to confirm their unending support towards promoting football in Qatar with further events in the upcoming months.
