City's other giant.

LIVERPOOL welcomed another giant this weekend after the Ruby Princess megaliner returned to the River Mersey.

The cruise ship arrived at around 11am yesterday, giving crowds heading to the waterfront for the Giant Spectacular another stunning sight to feast their eyes on.

At 113,000 gross ton, 951ft long with a beam of 118ft and a draft of 26ft, the vessel is the second largest in the Princess Cruises fleet and can carry 3,080 passengers and 1,200 crew members.

Ruby Princess was moored at Liverpool Cruise Terminal as part of a round Britain cruise.

After departing Liverpool for Belfast last night, the megaliner will go on to take in ports around Scotland. The last stop of her cruise will be at Le Havre in France before she returns to Southampton on August 3.
