City's lovesick lovebird.

THIS is the lonely lovebird found pining for its mate in Warbreck Park, Walton.

Vets at Warbreck House are appealing for its owner to come forward and reunite the lovesick parrot with its partner.

Brian Roberts, head vet at the Warbreck Road centre, said: "A member of the public brought it in on Tuesday afternoon. It is perfectly healthy, if a little underweight, and has a small cut above its beak.

"These beautiful animals mate for life so it's likely the owner will have the bird's partner at home. We would love for them to be reunited if anyone knows who it belongs to."
