Citibank Launches Citi MyPoints Rewards Platinum Select MasterCard; New Rewards Card Gives MyPoints Members Even More Ways to Earn Points.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 16, 2003

Citibank, the No. 1 credit card provider in the world, today launched the new Citi(R) MyPoints(R) Rewards Platinum Select(R) MasterCard(R), giving the more than 10 million members of MyPoints an online shopping portal and points aggregator, a new way to earn rewards faster.

With every purchase made on the card, cardmembers earn Points that can be redeemed for gift certificates, dining and travel rewards, and other brand-name merchandise from over 70 participating merchants at Citi MyPoints Rewards cardmembers can also accumulate additional Points when shopping online at, visiting affiliated websites, reading emails and filling out surveys. Membership is free and easy.
