Traditional single frequency metal detectors often require internal adjustments when a different kind of product is inspected on the line. And even the metal detectors with two or three switchable frequencies still often require an engineer to be close at hand should more than three products be inspected. Cintex's answer to this has been to develop a unique digital frequency synthesis system that allows literally dozens of frequencies between 40Khz and 900 Khz to be simply dialled in from the control panel, removing the need for multiple internal adjustments.
The technique used in the Sentry VF system can allow a sweet spot to be set that maximises metal sensitivity for the current product, providing a greater sensitivity and higher accuracy than ever achieved before.
Cintex will also be exhibiting their new Sentry CodeScan, the industry's first complete unit designed to identify missing, unreadable and incorrect barcodes, helping manufacturers to avoid costly fines and repercussions as a result of mislabelled products reaching retailers.
