Cintech Announces Expanded Distribution and Names CFO.

CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 7, 1996--CINTECH(TSE: CTM ) Cintech Tele-Management Systems announced a new distribution agreement with Tech Data Corporation for OCTuS PTA, Cintech's Personal Computer Telephony Application for small offices and home offices.

With 1995 revenues of US$2.43 billion, Tech Data, a Fortune 500 company, is the third largest distributor of personal computer products serving more than 50,000 value-added resellers and retail dealers. Through this distribution agreement, Cintech has access to some of the largest PC hardware and software sellers in North America.

"The market for a product like OCTuS PTA, that targets the Small Office, Home Office (SOHO) market, has never been better," commented Diane M. Kamionka, Cintech president and CEO. "Dataquest, a high-technology market research firm, predicts that sales of PC-based telephony hardware, software and services will reach $8 billion by 1999. Half of this figure will come from the SOHO market.

"The Tech Data agreement is a critical step in building our distribution strategy for personal computer telephony applications such as OCTuS PTA. We have been working with a number of retailers that work with Tech Data, and this agreement will expedite our relationship with them. The agreement's broad geographic coverage throughout North America, and Tech Data's strong presence, remove the barrier to aggressively work with many of the largest PC retailers."

Cintech also announced the appointment of James Keller to the position of Chief Financial Officer, with a major focus on shareholder relations. Mr. Keller comes to Cintech via Coopers & Lybrand where he directed the firm's Financial Advisory Services practice. Prior to joining Coopers & Lybrand, Mr. Keller engaged in private business and legal consultation specializing in financial and strategic planning, corporate development and employment law. Previously, he served as Chief Financial Officer and Director of Operations at Comcast Cablevision of Indiana, a leading cable television system operator. Mr. Keller is a graduate of the Indiana University Graduate School of Business (MBA) and the University of Cincinnati College of Law (JD).

Cintech develops and markets software applications that merge the power of PCs and telephones. The Company provides solutions to small offices, home offices and departments or branch offices of larger organizations. Cintech has an extensive distribution network in the US and Canada, through which the Company markets its own products as well as those of other select development companies.
