Cincinnati Bell acquires Software Support, Inc.

CINCINNATI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 25, 1996--

Technical Help Desk Support Strengthens MATRIXX's Full Service

Cincinnati Bell Inc. (NYSE:CSN) today announced completion of the acquisition of Software Support, Inc. (SSI).

SSI is a leading provider of technical assistance over the telephone to users of computer hardware and software. Its revenues for the 12 months ended Sept. 30 were about $20 million, representing a substantial increase from the prior 12 months.

The acquisition expands the capabilities of Cincinnati Bell's wholly owned subsidiary, MATRIXX Marketing Inc., in the technical help-desk market. Joseph J. Jacoboni, founder of SSI, will remain with the company as president of the Software Support division of MATRIXX Marketing.

With the addition of SSI's 500 employees at facilities in Heathrow, Fla., Houston, Texas, and Salt Lake City, Utah, MATRIXX Marketing now employs nearly 14,000 worldwide in 21 call centers in the U.S. and Europe.

The purchase of Software Support is not expected to significantly affect the 1997 financial results of Cincinnati Bell.
