Ci Cymru Corgis.

Owner: Kathy Graves Address: 124 S. Pearl St., Little Rock, 72205 Start-up date: October

According to Kathy Graves, "Ci Cymru" is Welsh for "dog of Wales."

Graves has been breeding and training Pembroke Welsh corgi for seven years. She decided to make her hobby an official business.

She says the dogs, which can weigh up to 30 pounds, are appealing because "you get a big dog in a small package."

Graves says the breed is intelligent but gentle, like many large breeds.

Graves, who has another full-time job, only breeds one litter per year because the puppies are raised and trained in her home. The puppies, which are sold at not younger than 3 months of age, are trained for obedience and agility.

"I'm picky about who buys my puppies," Graves says.

She screens all buyers.

Graves sells companion puppies for $400. Show puppies sell for $700.
