Churkin: Moscow Refused Three Modified Draft Resolution about Syria in the UN.

MOSCOW, (SANA) -- Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN Vitaly Churkin on Friday said that the western countries haven't shown readiness to reach an understanding with Moscow over some points of the draft resolution on Syria provided to the UN.

In an interview with Russia Today channel, Churkin said that Moscow refused the third modified draft provided by the European countries, adding that the draft should include calls to establish a political dialogue as the way to restore the situation in Syria to its normality.

He stressed that Russia categorically rejects any indication to further sanctions against Syria, adding that there are other countries which share Russia's attitude.

Earlier, Russia rejected the second modified draft resolution submitted by the European countries.
