The River of Life Church in Dumfries is opening its doors on Christmas Day so that no one has to spend it alone.
For the 14th successive year the church will lay on a free festive meal and entertainment next Tuesday.
Pastor of the church, Mark Smith, said: "Thanks to the generosity of individuals and organisations, we're delighted to invite everyone to come together for a truly great Christmas.
"No one need miss out on the fun, food and festivities which others take for granted. "There's a short, exciting Christmas service from 11am to 12 noon, then the highlight - a full Christmas Day dinner, with all the trimmings, with vegetarian options available from 1pm.
"Come to either or both, there's no need to book, just come along ... there will be plenty for everyone.
"Many find Christmas Day difficult for a multitude of reasons - loneliness, bereavement, lack of money but there's no need to miss out; we'd love you to join us on the big day."
Pastor Smith thanked staff at SP Energy Networks and Dumfries Lions Club who have worked hard to fundraise the PS350 needed to make the event possible as well as help from the community.
The day is being coordinated this year by Khandu Joseph and her family.
Khandu, who hails from North India, said: "I'm more familiar with curries than roasts but I've got some super helpers, so some great festive food is guaranteed.
"More than anything, we guarantee a warm welcome to anyone and everyone on Christmas Day.
"We've got lots of presents for all ages too."
Anyone who'd like to help out or support the event can contact Pastor Smith on 07710 111727.
