Chrysler, a United States-based automaker, is recalling 148,141 vehicles in China.

The recalled vehicles include imported Compass and Patriot models that were manufactured between August 17, 2009 and August 20, 2014, according to a General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine statement.

The automaker is recalling the vehicles as a possible short circuit could disable the airbags and seat belt pretensioners.
