Christmashit or miss?

Byline: By Sian Harris South Wales Echo

Anyone starting on their Christmas list should ensure one item goes straight in at the top - ear plugs.

Such preventative action will be vital to save your lugholes from the torture of the bountiful supply of Christmas number-one contenders heading our way. HMV and bookies William Hill have declared the X Factor winner (who has not yet won) a dead cert with their Christmas single (which has not yet been produced). Anyone determined to oppose such blatant marketing techniques by purchasing a rival CD won't exactly be spoiled for choice. I'm not sure which is a more alarming thought - a festive-themed Crazy Frog song or a Tony Christie cover of the Beach Boys' God Only Knows. Amarillo was your moment my friend - let it go. Robbie Williams' Angels also gets a cover in aid of charity while Mr Christmas himself Cliff Richard is back with his track Move It featuring Queen's Brian May. Roll on January!
