WE all knew Charlotte Church liked a laugh - but now it's official.
Her change from singing diva to TV humour queen was confirmed last night at the British Comedy Awards in London.
She picked up the gong for the Best Female Comedy Newcomer for her Channel 4 chat show - despite it being panned by the critics.
And the station scored another triumph when its outrageous new star Russell Brand scooped the Best Male Comedy Newcomer award.
Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? host Chris Tarrant, who recently split with wife Ingrid, was honoured with the Outstanding Contribution to Entertainment gong.
