Choose your flush and save water.
In the U.S. alone, four billion gallons of water are flushed down toilets each day. With resource conservation fully emerging as a world mega trend, toilet manufacturers are coming out with products that help homeowners use less water. And now Sterling, a brand of Kohler Co., has introduced its water-saving Rockton toilet with Dual Force flushing technology. This dual-finishing, gravity-fed toilet offers users a choice each time they flush, either 1.6 gallons or half that amount. Choosing the .8 gallon water level for light waste can save a family of four up to 6,000 gallons of water per year. The higher setting consistently removes bulk waste with just one flush, eliminating the double flushing that is required by some low-flush toilets. This no-plug performance is derived from a maximization of the force of gravity by a computer-designed trapway and flapperless valve, plus a sipbonic washdown system that directs all the water through the rim to keep the bowl clean.
