Choose to be square.

According to a Harvard Medical School study, the human brain prefers curved visual objects over those with sharp angles--in other words, circles over squares. Companies such as Solatube, a manufacturer of tubular daylighting devices, have used this research to back their decision to offer exclusively round diffusers for the past 25 years. However, in response to demand from the minority group that prefers an angled aesthetic, Solatube has added a square diffuser to its product line.

Instead of relying on the majority, the company is asking customers directly: "Are you square or round?" For those who are undecided, take their short quiz (right) and mark your preferences to see if you notice a pattern.
