Choir hits the right note with TV performance.

PUPILS from All Saints Church in Wales School, Barry, were today singing with joy after performing on national TV.

The school choir was selected as one three finalists in Granada Television's popular This Morning programme's Search for a Choir competition.

The choir was chosen by singer Russell Watson from hundreds of schools around the country.

The choir travelled to London for the audition at the London Weekend Television studios on Monday and sang Easy to Remember, by Chris Stuart.

The audition was recorded and was yesterday broadcast on the This Morning programme.

A school spokesman said:

"It was an exciting and memorable experience for the children. We learnt a great deal about live TV and working in a recording studio.

"We may not have been lucky enough to have won the competition and to have sung with Russell Watson himself, but we did manage to fit in some sightseeing and we met Michael Crawford."
