Chip off the old schlok.
As regular as the gas bill, the singing scamps are guaranteed to hit a multiplex near you every December. And if you thought the last instalment, ('the squeakquel') was bad, get a load of part three.
This time Alvin and his five pals are taken on a cruise ship holiday by their long-suffering owner Dave. But a mishap with a kite sees the critters blown overboard and washed up on a tropical island. Somehow the 'munks must survive the local creepy-crawlies while awaiting rescue.
Like the last instalments, Chipwrecked won't appeal to anyone over five. Aside from wafer-thin humour, somebody needs to learn that inserting pop culture references isn't automatically funny. Oh, and then there are the squeaky song and dance numbers perfectly pitched to make your ears bleed.
