Chinese New Year roars into life.
Traditional Chinese entertainment filled St Peter's Community Centre in Hillfields to mark the start of the Chinese year of the snake.
Unicorn, lantern, fan and basket dances featured among the programme of dramatic performances for the celebrations held last week.
Guests included Coventry's Lord Mayor, Coun Tim Sawdon, and modern-day Lady Godiva Pru Porretta.
The big event was organised by the Coventry Carers' Centre for the official launch of the new Chinese Carers Support Service, which advises Chinese carers and helps them access other providers of support.
Margaret Tse, a support worker for the service, said: "It was a fantastic event.
"The Chinese Carers Support Service was set up because a lot of people wanted this kind of help after the Coventry Chinese Association closed due to lack of funding."
