China Railway Gets $2.6 Bln Contracts In Libya -Xinhua.
China Railway Construction Corp. (601186.SH) has received contracts, worth $2.6 billion, to build two railroads in Libya, the official Xinhua News Agency reported Sunday, citing the company. Xinhua said the contracts are for a coastal railroad and for a north-south railroad in Libya. Construction on both projects will start in June, it added, without identifying its sources. China Railway is in the process of listing shares in the domestic stock market and expects its shares to start trading on the Shanghai Stock Exchange on March 10.
