China Eastern to acquire five ERJ aircraft.

China Eastern Airlines intends to buy five ERJ 145s from an Embraer joint venture.

According to Empresa Brasileira de Aeronautica SA (Embraer), China Eastern Airlines Ltd's Wuhan unit is to acquire five 50-seat ERJ 145 LR aircraft from Harbin Embraer. Harbin Embraer is a joint venture between Embraer and China Aviation Industry Corp II (AVIC II).

The delivery of the aircraft will take place between November 2006 and June 2007.
