China : ZTE Secures China Unicoms IMS Project.

ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the Mobile Internet, today announced that it has won 47% of the total share of the bid for China Unicoms IMS project. ZTE won the biggest share of the whole project and will serve 18.58 million subscribers as expected.

According to the bidding plan, China Unicom selects top 3 vendors of the ranking as its partners to deploy IMS networks in various provinces for services like VoLTE, one number with multiple devices, VoWiFi, and 5G voice services, etc. Backed up with its excellent solutions, ZTE ranked the first in the bidding and won the bid with the largest share. This breakthrough follows ZTEs winning of 70% share of China Mobiles CM-IMS network VoLTE project in 2015.

ZTE IMS fully enhances user experience, and supports smooth evolution to future 5G network. It is also perfectly integrated with 3rd party components horizontally and vertically to lead network transformation. To date, ZTE has deployed over 280 IMS commercial/trial projects, including over 70 vIMS projects around the world.
