BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital Bharatpur has commenced installing medical devices delivered by the Chinese government, 3 months ago.

The Chinese government had delivered 27 kinds of medical devices of over Rs 240 million to the hospital.

The device were provided over to the hospitals store department in the vicinity of Dr Chin Bahadur Pun, executive director at the hospital, and Chinese team leader Dr Lidong Win.

As per Pun, CT scan machine and mimeograph will be deployed after the reaching of a bio-medical engineer from China. Pun said the hospital had got 2 engineers from China to install the device.

Pun said, Many doctors wanted to delay installation of modern equipment as they have investments in other private hospitals.

A modern MRI machine has still to come into operation even though it was bought one-and-a-half years ago.

For shortage of various devices at the hospital, patients were formerly forced to visit private hospitals and pay exorbitant charges.
