China,Malta : 50 other Chinese families applying for residence Maltese investment through MRVP: 6 million was spent to promote Malta.

Conference in Shanghai in China, attended by Parliamentary Secretary Julia Farrugia Potelli, with 50 families applied to invest in the Maltese program MRVP-residence program and investment visas to individuals who are members of the European Union.

Among the main criteria for accepting such applications, is that people want to rent or buy a house in Malta and Gozo, buy with 250,000 in government stocks, and have at least revenue of 100,000 a year. Over two years ago set up this program were approved 140 investment application 80% of which are from China. At the conference organized by Shanghai Overseas Entry Exit, the dealer who two years ago won an international call to run this program in China, Hong Kong and Makau, with 200 attendees and individual investors.

During this event was spjegatha the work being done in China on advertising Malta as a destination that offers investment opportunities and educational programs of excellence.

In her address to the conference, the Secretary Parlamenatri Julia Farrugia Portelli said that relations between Malta and China go back to 1972 and the Maltese government policy is to build on these relationships.

She explained that the Government's policy is that Malta continues to attract people looking at Malta not only as the place where they have their second home but also to contain Chinese families to invest and bring innovative projects to the country. Earlier, the Parliamentary Secretary Portelli visited the office of Shanghai Overseas Entry Exit to employ 200 workers.

The CEO of Shanghai Overseas Entry Exit Kevin Mao said that total in the last 24 months the company has invested 6 million on advertising Malta. "The next step is to continue to attract new investors to set up more business in Malta", explained Mao.

Roderick Cutajar, CEO of the Malta Agency for Residence and Visa to MRVA, explained how Malta is delighted with the progress made by Shanghai Overseas Exit Entry, the results show that the vast majority of applications come from this -Company are high and go through all the processes of the due diligence international. Also present for the press conference was Ambassador to China John Aquilina Malta and the Consul General in Shanghai Aldo Cutajar.
