Chilton is a winner on his new works bike.
ANDY Chilton from Whitby scored a great win first time out on his new works Beta in Scarborough DMC's Jacky Baxter trial at Harwood Dale.
A tough four-lap, 10-section course around the old army camp tested the best of them, but Chilton's experience in contesting British and World Championship rounds this year helped dramatically.
Although he admitted top being "a little rusty first lap" he settled sown to rattle off consistent lap scores that kept Rob Waite in the runner-up berth.
Dan Peace had a torrid first lap, collecting a couple of uncharacteristic fives on sections five and 10, but he recovered well to finish third.
Mike Noble, also from Whitby, put a great ride together to finish third in a strong Clubman A class behind the experienced duo of Mark Taylor and Andy Lockwood. And the Eboracum lads, Bryan Kendra and John Stones, had a great battle in Clubman B, the former getting the verdict by four marks, with the battling Dave Wardell third.
