Children's Chance Joins with World Wide Motion Pictures Corporation to Help Cancer Patients and Families.

Los Angeles, CA, April 16, 2013 --(PR.com)-- World Wide Motion Pictures Corporation (World Wide) is pleased to be working with the Children's Chance (www.childrenschance.org) to bring awareness to the award-winning feature film, Ways to Live Forever (www.waystoliveforevermovie.com). Founded in the mid-90s, Children's Chance funds programs to help meet the emotional, psychological, and financial needs of pediatric cancer patients and their families. The organization is supporting the theatrical release of the new film, which is based on the popular children's novel by British author Sally Nicholls and opens across the US later this year. The story centers on a spunky 12-year-old leukemia patient named Sam and his best friend and fellow-patient, Felix. Together, they set out to achieve their dreams and despite dealing with their illness, learn some inspirational lessons about family, friends, and the oddities of life

“We are thrilled to be working with Children's Chance to help spotlight the often under-appreciated needs of the families of pediatric cancer patients, as well as the patients themselves,” states Paul D. Hancock, President and CEO of World Wide. “Through our combined efforts, we hope to fund support programs for these families, both by creating greater awareness and also by directly donating a portion of the film's box office proceeds.”

Ways to Live Forever stars critically acclaimed actors Ben Chaplin (The Thin Red Line, The Truth About Cats & Dogs), Greta Scacchi (The Player, Emma), Robbie Kay (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides), Alex Etel (The Water Horse), Emilia Fox (Pride And Prejudice - BBC), and Ella Purnell (Intruders, Never Let Me Go). The growing list of international awards includes: Best Feature Film from the European Children's Film Association, Best Picture at the Bordeaux International Festival of Women in Cinema, Audience Award at the Heartland Film Festival, and the Adult Jury Prize at the Chicago International Children's Film Festival. In addition, publisher Scholastic (www.scholastic.com) has recently released Nicholls' best-selling novel as an eBook version of the tale in advance of the film's North American theatrical release.

“We are quite excited to be partnering with WWMPC on the release of this award winning film, Ways to Live Forever,” states Tom McGee, Executive Director of Children's Chance. “I believe that those who watch this moving story will come away with a greater understanding of what we and the families we work with confront on a daily basis. Families who are faced with pediatric cancer must deal with pressures and issues most of us can barely imagine. The film moves you toward a sense of understanding that will change the way you see life, your loved ones and the world around you”

Founded in 1996 in South Carolina by two mothers who had daughters battling cancer, the organization provides assistance for non-medical financial needs (e.g. groceries, gas, utilities, and mortgages) to families of cancer patients during the period of their child's often-costly cancer treatment and recovery. Children's Chance's popular mascot, Zig The Pig, is an integral part of outreach programs to schools, businesses, and community groups in an effort to raise awareness and fund programs to meet the emotional, psychological, and financial needs of pediatric cancer patients and their families.

Founded in 1977, World Wide Motion Pictures Corporation (www.wwmpc.com) is a diversified company with shareholders throughout the world, primarily involved in the development, financing, production and distribution of feature films, documentaries, short subjects, industrials and television productions.
