Chief cops a nasty shock.

A POLICE chief screamed in pain after volunteering to be shot with a Taser stun gun.

Chief Constable Richard Brunstrom shouted, "Bloody hell" as he was subjected to a 1.5 second, 50,000 volt shock.

Brunstrom, an officer with North Wales police, had agreed to be a guinea pig for the device which is intended to pacify offenders without the need for lethal force.

The test firing is shown on the force's website.

Brunstrom said: "We're prepared to use this on members of the public when we have to. It's right and proper that the head of the organisation tries it out for himself."
